Fort Campbell - Hunting, Fishing, and Environmental Recreation Permits
PERMIT SALES:
2023-2024 Hunting, Fishing, and Environmental Recreation validations and permit sales will begin Monday 01 March 2024. Individuals must first purchase appropriate state license(s) from either Kentucky or Tennessee and complete the validation processes to become eligible for a Fort Campbell permit.
VALIDATIONS:
All individuals wishing to hunt must have proof of hunter safety certification at time of validation.
Individuals that do not possess a valid DoD ID Card must complete a criminal background check. This background check must be completed annually. Background checks expire on 29 February.
Below is a list of individuals that do not need an annual criminal background check:
1.) Active Duty Military
2.) Retired Military with valid DoD ID Card
3.) DoD Employees with valid DoD ID Card
All other individuals must receive clearance from Physical Security prior to obtaining validation or permit(s) from Fort Campbell Fish and Wildlife.

Below are descriptions of each validation:
2024 MILITARY COMMUNITY (HUNTING/FISHING):
- All individuals that possess a DoD ID Card. Must show proof of hunter education certification and TN or KY hunting license. VA Cards do not qualify as DoD ID Cards. Will not need criminal background check.
2024 E1-E4 (Hunting/Fishing) -
- All Active-Duty personnel ranked E1-E4 that wish to hunt. Must show proof of hunter education certification and TN or KY hunting license.
2024 DAV - Exempt -
- Disabled American Veterans that possess a KY or TN state DAV license. Need criminal background check if they do not possess a DoD ID Card. VA Cards do not qualify as DoD ID Cards
2024 DAV (Hunting) - Nonexempt -
- Disabled American Veterans that show proof from VA that do not possess KY or TN state DAV license. Must show proof of hunter education certification and TN or KY hunting license. Need criminal background check if they do not possess a DoD ID Card. VA Cards do not qualify as DoD ID Cards.
2024 Civilian (Hunting/Fishing) -
- All individuals that do not possess a DoD ID Card. Must have valid criminal background check from Fort Campbell Physical Security. Must show proof of hunter education certification and TN or KY hunting license.
2024 Youth (Hunting/Fishing) - Exempt -
- All individuals 17 years old or younger that wish to hunt at time of permit purchase. Must show proof of hunter education certification and TN or KY hunting license if required.
2024 Handicapped Hunter -
- Individuals that possess state issued handicapped parking placard and documentation or state issued license plate and proof of registration.
2024 (Fishing/Recreation) Nonexempt -
- All individuals nonexempt from purchasing Fort Campbell permits due to status.
PERMITS:
All permits must be purchased through iSportsman using debit/credit card - All permit sales are final
Fort Campbell Hunting, Fishing, and Environmental Recreation permits:
(All permits expire 28 February, annually)
Active Duty on Leave Hunting/Fishing & Recreation) - FREE with state waiver

For Active-Duty Soldiers on leave with state exemption wishing to participate in fishing and environmental recreation (no hunting). Valid for 5-day increments. Must be renewed according to leave papers.
E1-E4 Hunting/Fishing Permit - FREE
- Permits hunting of all authorized species on Fort Campbell for Active-Duty soldiers ranked E1-E4. Hunters must possess appropriate KY or TN state licenses according to pursued species. See CAM-Regulation 200-4 and check with state requirements prior to hunting on Fort Campbell with this permit.
Sportsman - Active Duty / DoD & Civilian - $60.00
- Permits all hunting and fishing activities on Fort Campbell. Individuals must have appropriate KY or TN state hunting/fishing licenses specific to pursued species prior to using this permit on Fort Campbell. See CAM-Regulation 200-4 and KY/TN state regulations for more information.
DAV Sportsman - Exempt - FREE with TN or KY DAV License
- Permits all hunting and fishing activities on Fort Campbell. Individuals must have appropriate KY or TN state hunting/fishing licenses specific to pursued species prior to using this permit on Fort Campbell. See CAM-Regulation 200-4 and KY/TN state regulations for more information. Provides access to handicap hunting areas.
DAV Sportsman - Nonexempt - $60.00

Youth Sportsman - Active Duty / DoD, DAV & Civilian - FREE
- Permits all hunting and fishing activities on Fort Campbell. Individuals must have appropriate KY or TN state hunting/fishing licenses specific to pursued species prior to using this permit on Fort Campbell. See CAM-Regulation 200-4 and KY/TN state regulations for more information.
Annual Deer - Active Duty / DoD, DAV Nonexempt & Civilian - $35.00 / Annual Turkey - Active Duty / DoD, DAV Nonexempt & Civilian - $35.00
Small Game - Active Duty / DoD, DAV Nonexempt & Civilian $ 25.00 / One (1) Day Hunting - Active Duty / DoD, DAV Nonexempt & Civilian - $10.00

Fishing - Exempt - FREE / Fishing - Nonexempt - $20.00 / One (1) Day Fishing - $5.00
